A brief introduction to fiber optic splicing enclosures


Fiber optic splicing enclosure is a connection part that connects two or more optical cables together and has protective parts. It belongs to the mechanical pressure sealing joint system and is a splicing protection device that provides continuity of optical, sealing and mechanical strength between adjacent optical cables. Fiber optic splicing enclosures are mainly used for straight-through and branch connections in overhead, pipeline, direct burial and other laying methods of optical cables of various structures.

2. Provide the function of electrical connection, grounding or disconnection of metal members in the optical cable.
3. Fiber optic splicing enclosures have the properties to protect the optical fiber connector from environmental influences.
4. Provide the function of placing optical fiber connectors and storing the remaining optical fibers.

5. When required, the fiber optic splicing enclosures should also be termite resistant.
